Ophiuchus Copernican Health Counseling, 2009

Ophiuchus Copernican Health Counseling was created as a fictive organization for the exhibition "Fake Future" at Museum Gallery/ Gallery Museum. OCHC optimistically posed that health care in the future would be more holistically and spiritually integrated. I set up a temporary doctor’s office with a separate waiting area and met with patients on a first-come-first-serve basis. Patients were asked to complete simple personal histories, including birth date, time, location, and account of any acute or chronic issues. I then met with each person individually in the office and used their astrological birth chart to counsel them on how to lead a healthy lifestyle. I also offered advice on beneficial supplements where appropriate.
